 Tour: A guided tour by Anne Farrell  of Bannow Church, Bannow House and The Blessed Well at Blackhall.
1:30 – Bus will leave Grantstown Church at 1;30 pm. and proceed to Bannow Church. Anne will highlight details of historical interest as we travel to Bannow Church.
2:45 – Leave Bannow Church and proceed to Bannow House via the Blessed Well at Blackhall.
3:45 – Return to Grantstown.
4 pm – Tea and refreshments.
4:30 – The Devereux Family of Danescastle. A talk by Denis Kenny.
Fee: €7.00 per person; €5.00 for under 18’s.
N.B: Masks must be worn on the bus at all times.

Grantstown Day Care Centre, Culture Night, September 23rd. Bannow Historical Society. ‘A History of Grantstown and its Communities’. 

As its contribution to Culture Night – an Arts Council initiative to celebrate culture and the arts – Grantstown Day Care Centre is hosting an evening of entertainment and talks on Friday September 23rd in Grantstown Church.
As part of this evening, Dermot McCarthy will give a talk entitled  ‘A History of Grantstown and its Communities’. Further information to follow.
This is a free event, no cover charge.
